About this module

People are often scared to make a report of improper conduct due to fear of retaliation or not being confident that their report will go to someone who can act on it. To prevent these issues from being a factor in reporting, the Tasmanian government has enacted the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2002 (Tas) (the Act).

This course has been designed to provide employees of public bodies with an overview of the Act. Specifically, it will look at when and how reports of improper conduct can be made and to whom. It will also look at the protections available to reporters who make true and honest reports.
