About this module
In all Australian states and territories, health and safety laws impose a duty of care on organisations to provide a safe working environment and protect the health and safety of their workers.
This safety course has been designed to increase workers’ awareness of hazards in the workplace and their responsibility to identify, report and manage them to minimise the risk of injury. This course looks at where hazards might be found in the workplace and techniques for successfully identifying them. It also introduces the concept of 'risk management' - a strategy designed to assist identification of hazards, risk assessment and implementation of risk controls - with the aim of reducing risks that might be encountered while working.
